Introduction: Health Preservation Doesn't Need Effort, Start with a Small Habit
Busy life and heavy pressure make many people feel that health preservation is troublesome. In fact, gentle daily habits can help us adjust according to the seasons, making our qi and blood smooth and our body and mind relaxed. Today, I share a simple and comfortable technique: drinking a glass of warm water upon waking up, combined with gentle abdominal massage, to help you start a peaceful and comfortable day.

Applicable and Inapplicable Scenarios
This habit is suitable to practice in the morning after waking up, when feeling physically heavy, having digestive issues, or lacking energy. It is safe and mild, and almost everyone can try it. If you have acute stomach pain, an unhealed abdominal surgery, or are running a fever, please avoid practicing it temporarily.
Practice Steps: Four Steps to "Morning Warm Water Abdominal Massage"
- Step 1: Sit quietly for a while. After waking up, sit on the edge of the bed for one or two minutes, don't get up abruptly, let your body slowly awaken.
- Step 2: Sip warm water slowly. Prepare a glass of warm boiled water (about 300 ml), sip it slowly, and feel the warm water flowing down your throat, moisturizing your intestines.
- Step 3: Rub your hands to warm them up. Place your palms together and rub them quickly until they feel warm, concentrating the warm energy in your palms.
- Step 4: Gently massage your abdomen. Place your hands over your navel, and gently massage your abdomen in a clockwise direction for 36 circles, centered on the navel. Combine with slow, deep breathing, imagining your abdomen becoming warm and relaxed.
Mild Adjustment Principles
Morning is the time when yang energy arises. A glass of warm water can gently awaken your stomach and intestines, helping to initiate the circulation of qi and blood throughout the day. Abdominal massage promotes intestinal movement, relieves constipation and bloating, making your body light and comfortable. The entire process doesn't pursue intensity, but focuses on "adjusting according to the season" and "smoothness," completing daily care in a soothing way.
Summary: Small Habits, Big Comfort
Spending a few minutes every morning with a glass of warm water and a gentle massage gives your body a gentle greeting. With long-term persistence, you will find that your sleep becomes more solid, fatigue decreases, and you feel more balanced overall. Gentle health preservation starts with such small things.
