Warm-up Dietary Guide: Nourish with Common Ingredients to Drive Out Cold from the Body

Introduction

As the weather turns cooler, cold hands and feet, fear of cold, and fatigue often trouble us. Instead of relying on thick clothes, why not start with a warm drink to warm your body from the inside out? Today, I share a simple and common warming tip - ginger and red date tea. It is a food and medicine combined, gently regulating and suitable for daily nourishment.

Applicable Symptoms

If you often feel cold hands and feet, abdominal cold pain, or tend to feel tired and lack energy during seasonal changes, this tea can help relieve these symptoms. It is not medicine, but a gentle way of adjustment that follows the seasons.

Ingredients Preparation

  • Three slices of ginger (no need to peel, wash and slice)
  • Six red dates (remove the core, split them open for better flavor)
  • A small handful of goji berries (about ten pieces)
  • Two bowls of water
  • A little bit of brown sugar or honey (optional)

Preparation Steps

Put the ginger slices and red dates into a small pot, add two bowls of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Add goji berries three minutes before turning off the heat, let it steep for three minutes, then pour into a cup when it's warm. You can add a small piece of brown sugar according to your taste. Drink one cup every day, best in the morning or afternoon.

Mechanism of Gentle Regulation

Ginger promotes perspiration and dispels external pathogens, helping to promote the movement of yang energy; red dates tonify the middle energizer and invigorate qi, nourishing the spleen and stomach; goji berries nourish the liver and kidneys, moistening without being greasy. Combined, they harmonize the spleen and stomach, clear heat, and moisturize dryness, both expelling cold and not harming yin. All ingredients are common, gentle, and safe, suitable for long-term practice.

Summary

You don't need to take heavy tonics to warm up; common ingredients can also provide deep nourishment. Drinking a cup of ginger and red date tea every day warms your body from the inside, adapts to seasonal changes, and gradually restores balance and comfort.
