Introduction
When you wake up in the morning, do you feel stiff and your mind cloudy? Actually, you don't need complicated equipment or a long yoga mat. Just 7 minutes and a quiet space are enough to awaken your body with the ancient Chinese health wisdom of Qigong, starting your day comfortably and relaxed. This morning exercise requires no flexibility, is effortless, and can be done by the elderly and people who sit for long periods. It's like a warm glass of water, gradually unblocking your qi and blood, allowing your body and mind to calmly awaken.
A Simple Exercise: Morning "Embracing the Circle and Regulating Breathing"

Today we only introduce one core technique: Embracing the Circle and Regulating Breathing. It is a variation of the "Hunyuan Posture" in Qigong, suitable for improving shoulder and neck stiffness, back and waist discomfort, and mental fatigue.
Applicable Population
- People who feel tense all over when they get up in the morning
- People with mild cervical and lumbar discomfort (not acute pain)
- People under high pressure, anxious after waking up
Exercise Steps (Very Safe)
- Standing Preparation: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, slightly bend your knees without locking them. Let your hands naturally hang on both sides of your body.
- Embracing the Circle with Both Hands: Slowly lift both arms to form a circular shape in front of your chest, as if embracing a large balloon. Slightly spread your fingers, palms facing yourself. The height of your hands should be around the level of your chest and navel, with the elbows naturally drooping.
- Relaxation Adjustment: Check if your shoulders are raised; if you feel tense, lower them slightly. Align your head and slightly tuck in your chin.
- Breath Coordination: Close your eyes, breathe slowly through your nose, imagining the breath rising from the soles of your feet, passing through your abdomen and chest to the top of your head; then exhale gently through your mouth, visualizing the tension in your entire body dispersing like mist. The breathing should be long, fine, and even, without holding your breath.
- Staying and Slight Movement: Stay standing still in the "embrace the circle" posture, while your body can slowly sway slightly forward and backward (no more than 3 cm), like willow branches swaying in the wind. Maintain this for 3 to 5 minutes.
Mild Regulation Principles

The "embrace the circle" posture opens the chest and stretches the shoulders and back, improving qi and blood stagnation caused by hunched posture. Combined with deep and long breathing, it is equivalent to a gentle massage for the internal organs. The slow movement activates micro-adjustments in the entire skeleton and muscles, helping to unblock meridians and allow smooth circulation of qi and blood. After practicing for 7 days, you will find that you no longer feel so tired when you wake up in the morning.
Summary

Every day for 7 minutes, not rushing, not competing, just standing quietly for a while, embracing a circle, and breathing slowly. This is the wisdom of Qigong: using the most energy-efficient way to bring your body back to its natural rhythm. Remember, don't pursue "standards," comfort is the most important. You can listen to soft music while doing this exercise. After a week of practice, you will thank yourself for starting today.
